Richard B. Sandow - Partner

Richard B. Sandow is a partner and practices in the areas of business, litigation, labor and employment law, pension and benefit law, discrimination law, construction law, complex litigation and class actions.

In 1978, Mr. Sandow received his Juris Doctor degree, graduating Order of the Coif, from the National Law Center, George Washington University. He also received the Van Vleck Moot Court Competition First Place Award. Mr. Sandow received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College in 1975.

Prior to joining the firm in 1981, Mr. Sandow worked for the General Counsel of the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board, for Susquehanna Legal Services and for Neighborhood Legal Services. He also clerked for the Honorable Dyer Justice Taylor of the District of Columbia Superior Court.

Mr. Sandow co-authored “Uberrimae Fidei and All Risk Policies: Revival of a Historic Defense”, Journal of International Association of Defense Counsel, 1986. He has conducted numerous seminars on a variety of topics, including labor and employment issues and banking regulations.

Mr. Sandow has served as counsel to the Regulatory Compliance Association for Western Pennsylvania Financial Institutions. He has tried numerous complex cases in federal and state courts, and before the National Labor Relations Board and blue ribbon commercial arbitration panels.

Mr. Sandow is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, Supreme Court of the District of Columbia, the United States Court of Federal Claims, the United States District Courts for the Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations.
