Anthony J. Plastino, II was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1954. He maintains an “Of Counsel” relationship with the firm and practices in the areas of Workers’ Compensation and related Subrogation Recovery. Over the years, he has represented a variety of clients including insurance companies, employers and third party administrators (TPAs) in these and other areas of the law.
Prior to joining Jones, Gregg in 2007, Mr. Plastino owned his own law firm since 1988. He became the sole proprietor of the firm from 1992 to 2007. Mr. Plastino received the bulk of his Workers’ Compensation and Subrogation experience working with the firms of Robb, Leonard & Mulvihill, Scarlatta & Plastino, Law Offices of Daniel F. LaCava and Law Offices of William K. Herrington in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He began his legal career as an Attorney Advisor with the Office of Administrative Law Judges for the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Plastino went to college at Susquehanna University and received his Juris Doctor/Law degree from Duquesne University School of Law in 1979, where he served as Associate Editor of the Duquesne University Law Review from 1977 to 1979.
Mr. Plastino is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Western and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, the Duquesne University Law Alumni Association, and the South Hills YMCA Board of Management.
He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, and West Virginia.
