Jones, Gregg, Creehan & Gerace, LLP Attorneys Appointed To Bar Association and Foundation Committees

Pittsburgh law firm Jones, Gregg, Creehan, & Gerace is pleased to announce that two of the firm’s lawyers have been appointed to important positions with the Allegheny County Bar Association and Foundation.

Melaine Shannon Rothey, Esquire, has been appointed to the Allegheny County Bar Foundation Board of Trustees for a three-year term and to the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Council.  C. Kurt Mulzet, Esquire, is now a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Judiciary Committee.

Ms. Rothey said she is thrilled to become a trustee of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation, a non-profit that raises funds to award grants to providers of pro bono legal services to low-income clients.

“I am excited to become a part of this organization,” Ms. Rothey said.  “I look forward to helping ACBF raise money to assist in providing pro bono legal services.”

Ms. Rothey heads the firm’s Family Law Department.  She is an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Family Law section.  Ms. Rothey was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer from 2005 to 2008.  She received pro bono awards from the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Allegheny County Bar Foundation in 2006.

As a member of the ACBA Judiciary Committee, Mr. Mulzet will help evaluate candidates for all local, appellate, and federal courts in Allegheny County.

“I am honored to become a member of this committee,” Mr. Mulzet said.  “My past legal experience will enable me to evaluate candidates fairly and provide our courts with the best possible judges.”

Mr. Mulzet is also a member of the Family Law Sections of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
